Despite of falling sick days ago, I'm still glad that I had a speedy recovery soon after! And I'm also thankful for the love & care I received from my family, bf & friends as well. :3
Always feeling grateful for every little thing that makes me happy. Lalala~ :D
So on last Thursday night, I came across a Korean food stall at Spring's food court while having dinner with friends. AND I WAS SO TEMPTED TO TRY THE KOREAN FOOD! All thanks to Running Man I shall say. They've always been showing all the Korean food that look damn tasty which gives us the urge to try those food! And so I ordered Bibimbap. This is also my very first time trying a Korean dish heh.
Top: A device that will ring when the food is ready. Damn cool my first time seeing something like this lol. Bottom: Bibimbap served with kimchi & soup! RM9.80.
And this is how it looks like. Well the taste was, okay okay. Some part of it actually tasted good but some part of it me no likey. Maybe coz of the use of different ingredients in there.
And this is where one of my friends, ZheYii recommended me to try the Korean food at a place called 'Korean Food' at Jalan Song hahaha! He mentioned that the dining place is owned by a Korean aunty, and the food there taste way more nicer than what I just had.
SOOO, along with my big bro who's also always wanting to try Korean food and with mom & bf, we headed to 'Korean Food' last Friday night to give it a try. We had quite a hard time to decide what to eat from the menu though hahaha. Too much choices! And just then the Korean aunty owner randomly came by and said 'An nyeong haseyo~' to us. So friendly heh! :D
Trying out Korean cuisine at 'Korean Food' Jalan Song.
Okay so skip to the food part, here are what we had. :D Basically we all shared the food just for the purpose to TRY. We headed to Kuching Fest right after for a second round LOL.
Side dishes: Kimchi and marinated cucumber thingy. Free.
Woow both of these were so damn spicy I can't handle! The spiciness just kept going around in the mouth! T.T
Ddeokbokki. RM10.
Initially thought this would be spicy as well but not really. The rice cake itself actually has a little sweetness in it and the sauce has a combination of spiciness & sourness. Not bad at all.
Triangular-rice-wrapped-with-seaweed-thingy. RM5.
I actually don't remember what is this called HAHA. But this is pretty common and I believe most have tried it before. :)
Kimchi Fried Rice. RM12.
Since the Kimchi just now was sooo spicy, I was so afraid that this dish would turn out very spicy as well. But NOPE! Surprisingly it has a very fragrant & pleasant taste with only minimal spiciness. It was nice actually!
Bibimbap. RM12.
I would say this is the best dish of the night! Zero spiciness, large portion, great mixing & matching of ingredients inside, very mouth-watering indeed! Seriously much more better than what I had at Spring's food court.
So there you have it~ That's all that we had. Was a good dining experience I would say. Apparently cured the urge to try Korean food buahaha! But to be honest, I would say Korean food is not really my cup of tea. I would actually prefer local food, western food or even Japanese food more hee! :P
But still, I'm happy to try Korean dishes. I feel that it somehow connects my love to Running Man HAHA! So yea, hopefully I get to try more other Korean food like Jajangmyun or pig trotter YAY! :D
So till next time I blog, toodles! ;)
